all interested parties who wish to host a funky town fridge should fill out this application so we can get you set up in our queue and respond to you in an organized and timely fashion. while, we hope to have a funky town fridge set up in every neighborhood in fort worth, please note that we prioritize hosts based on a few things:

(1) need: while we understand that there are people in need in all areas of fort worth, we have identified a few areas that are in particular need of access to fresh, healthy, free food.

(2) location: funky town fridge is an organization that targets communities in need. as a host, we prefer for your business/facility to be in a neighborhood that is either considered a food swamp or food desert.

(3) facility: we take pride in our fridge locations being resources for the community. we require a friendly and inviting and accessable facility so that those in need feel comfortable coming by the fridge and taking what they need, when they need it. we also require an electrical outlet for the fridge to be plugged into 24/7.

(4) volunteer availability: if you have a team of volunteers who are ready to help us manage the inventory, safety, and cleanliness of your funky town fridge, we may be able to get your fridge up and running a bit faster.

(5) fridge availability: while we can source a fridge for you, it is always easier to get one up and running if you have one ready to use at your location.

(6) host: with multiple funky town fridges located in the fort worth area, we at ftf have learned that kendra, or ftf organizer, and the owner of the facility that we are considering to be a host, must work closely with each other and have a relationship of mutual respect.
